Information & Updates from Homewood City Schools

July 28, 2025

Dear Homewood Families,

It is with great excitement and anticipation that we welcome you to a new school year in Homewood City Schools!

Each new year brings a renewed sense of possibility and hope, and we are eager to open our doors to the energy, curiosity, and joy that your children bring into our classrooms soon. Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare learning environments that are engaging, supportive, and designed to help every student grow and thrive.

Homewood has a proud tradition of excellence, and it’s one that continues because of the strong partnership we share with our families and community. Together, we create the kind of school experience where students feel known, supported, and empowered to maximize their unique potential.

As we begin this school year, please know how grateful we are for your trust and partnership. We look forward to the days ahead and to all the moments of growth, learning, and connection that make Homewood such a special place.

Here’s to a fantastic school year!

Go, Patriots!

Chromebook Reminder

Charged up and ready! This is a reminder to all students in grades 6 and up to bring your fully charged Chromebook to school on August 7th. 5th grade students will be assigned their new Chromebook in the first few days of school. While they are not used on a daily basis in each class, our Chromebooks are an important tool that support many valuable resources and supplemental activities. Our teachers carefully plan and monitor technology use in the classroom to be sure that use of a device is directly tied to our learning targets.
